Pembroke: Search for high school principal down to two candidates

It’s down to two finalists to lead Pembroke High School.

Michael Lovecchio and Richard Manley have been chosen from a pool of nearly 30 candidates.

Lovecchio is the principal of Bellingham Middle School.

He served as dean of students at Weymouth High School for five years.

Manley was the founding principal of Windham High School in New Hampshire and has served as principal of the North Middlesex Regional High School.

The candidates will visit Pembroke High School on Tuesday for interviews and tours.

The school committee will likely name the new principal  within two weeks.

Current principal Ruth Lynch will retire at the end of the school year after seven years on the job.
