Plymouth District Court: Duxbury firefighter’s drunk driving case continued

A Duxbury firefighter, who was also part-time Duxbury police officer, and had been charged with drunken driving had his case continued Monday in Plymouth District Court.

53-year-old John Thomas was arrested in late December after he was involved in an accident in the Manomet section of Plymouth, and then allegedly drove away.

Thomas, a 25-year-veteran of the fire department, is now back at work after he was first placed on paid administrative leave while the fire department investigated the alleged charges to see if they would impact his abilities to work as a firefighter.
