Plymouth: Military jets spotted in area

If you’ve noticed some unusual activity in the skies above the Plymouth /Cape Cod area, you’re not alone.

WATD listener Bill said two military jets flew over his house near the coast of Plymouth around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon. He said he first heard the sound of jets in the sky, but didn’t make it outside in time to actually see them. Then he heard the same noise again and observed two jets travelling southward towards the canal.

Officials at the Plymouth police and the Plymouth Municipal Airport had no information about the jets, and attempts to contact the Otis Air Force Base Traffic Control were unsuccessful, but state police in Norwell said F15s out of Barnes Air National Guard Base were practicing take-offs and landings, as well as touching down at Otis Air Force Base at around that time.
