Rockland: Police search for driver who fled police, crashed into Hanover house

Rockland police are searching for a suspect wanted for failing to stop for police and then crashing her vehicle into house in Hanover and leaving the scene on Tuesday.

The female driver of a black 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo fled Rockland Police around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday as they attempted to stop her vehicle. When Rockland police terminated the chase at Rt. 123 prior to Rt. 53 in Hanover, she then crashed the vehicle into a home at 956 Webster Street.

A neighbor at 957 Webster Street said they saw a black car driving very fast  jump the curb and hit the house across the street, and then leave the scene.

Police are looking for the female suspect and the car she was driving–a 2003 Chevy Monty Carlo, license plate number 327BZ2, registered to a man born in 1954 who lives at 21 Union Street, Holbrook.
