Braintree: Police investigate second appearance of Red Sox-clad robber

Braintree Police are investigating a second armed robbery this month at Luke’s Convenience Store on Pond Street.

Police say the robbery on Saturday, around 10 p.m. bears a striking resemblance to a on April 4th. In both cases, the suspect threatened the clerk with a knife and was described as a white male in his early 20s,  wearing a red mask, black gloves, a blue Boston Red Sox hooded sweatshirt and blue pajama bottoms with the Red Sox logo.

In Saturday’s robbery, police say the attendant reported that the man walked behind the counter while pointing a knife at the clerk, and demanded money. After grabbing cash from the register, the suspect fled out the store towards King Hill Road.
