Brockton: Police standoff with father of accused killer ends peacefully

The father of an accused killer was in custody Sunday, following a two-hour standoff with police in Brockton.

David Luke reportedly called police around 9:30 a.m. from his home at 569 Crescent St., claiming he had weapons and demanding to be put in touch with local news media.

Luke said he wanted to tell the story of his son, Keith Luke, who is accused of killing two people during a three-hour rampage in 2009.

Police arriving at the home repotedly found David Luke waving a cell phone out a second-floor window.

Authorities closed off the area, stormed the home, and brought Luke to a hospital without incident late Sunday morning.

No injuries were reported and no weapons were found.
