Carver: Police officer injured in crash while responding to disturbance

Carver Police say one of their sergeants suffered non-life threatening injuries, and another driver escaped injury after a 2001 Ford Mustang struck a marked cruiser with his lights on.

Police say Sgt. Raymond Orr was responding to a disturbance on Tuesday at around 6:20 p.m., and was turning onto Gate St. from the north side of High St. his cruiser was struck.

The Mustang had been traveling north bound on Gate St. towards High St. when the collision occurred.

Sgt. Orr was transported to the Jordan Hospital with non-life threatening injuries; the male operator of the Mustang was not injured.

As a result of the investigation, the male operator of the Mustang was issued a citation.
