A 22-year-old Weymouth man will be spending six months in jail after admitting to possession of child pornography.

Andrew Cardarelli pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing and one count of disseminating child pornography.

A Norfolk Superior Court Judge sentenced Cardarelli to 2½ years in jail, with six months to serve and the balance suspended, with five years of probation and four months of house arrest on a monitoring bracelet.

Cardarelli was arrested by the State Police in Braintree last June. Investigators said they found more than 100 child pornography images and videos on his home computers. They say Cardarelli downloaded the videos and images from the Internet, then using a file-sharing network, sent them them to other people.

During his probation, Cardarelli must complete sex-offender treatment and have no contact with anyone under the age of 18.
