West Bridgewater: Man lost in swamp rescued by police

A 27-year-old man and his dog are safe after being rescued Saturday night from the Hockomock Swamp.

Around 11:30 p.m., state police troopers responded to the swamp at the request of West Bridgewater police to help look for a man reported lost in the swamp

Robert Magee apparently became lost in the swamp after going in to find his dog who had run off.

The man was unable to call for help because his cell phone was not charged. Both the man and his dog were treated at the scene and released.
