Celtics: C’s working out a deal with Doc Rivers; Glen Davis becomes free agent

A person with knowledge of the negotiations tells the Associated Press the Boston Celtics and coach Doc Rivers are working out a deal to keep Rivers for “more than two or three years.” The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the details are still being worked out.

With the off-season beginning for the Boston Celtics, Glen Davis becomes a free agent. He says he loves Boston and would like to keep playing for the Celtics, but he also says he thinks he has the talent to be a starter, wherever that might take him in the NBA.
