Halifax: Voters decide two contested races

Halifax voters headed to the polls on Saturday, with only two contested races on the ballot.

Four residents are running for two seats on the School Committee:  Incumbent Cassandra Hanson, Pamela Anderson, Edward Desharnais and Jared Snell.

The winners were Anderson and Hanson with 121 votes and 107 votes, respectively.

Desharnais and Snell also ran for one seat on the Silver Lake Regional School Committee, with Desharnais emerging the winner, with 119 votes.
