Holbrook Police say a 90 year old man drove a car striking a pedestrian on Union Street near the MBTA tracks Monday afternoon.
Holbrook Police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a car near the tracks at approximately 12:30 p.m. The initial report described the pedestrian as pinned underneath the vehicle.
Authorities identified the victim as 23-year-old James Massy. They requested a Medflight extraction, not available due to rainy weather. An ambulance took him to Boston Medical Center, which described him as in serious, but stable condition.
Police identified the driver of the vehicle as 90-year-old Louis Guarante of Quincy.
The accident remains under investigation. Police have not said if Guarante will face charges.
