A Plympton man who was driving on the wrong side of Route 3A in Kingston around 1:15 p.m. Saturday has been arrested on charges of second offense drunken driving and possession of an open container of alcohol.
Kingston police had been notified that a black Toyota Solara was swerving along Route 3A southbound from Duxbury heading toward Kingston. The driver has been identified as 52-year-old Leonard Howes, Junior.
Sergeant Timothy Ballinger, who pulled over the car, said there was a strong odor of alcohol and that Howes was unable to answer any questions. In addition, Howes failed field sobriety tests and a blood alcohol breath test.
