Brockton police are investigating the brazen daytime shooting of a city man.
John Anthony Gray was found slumped over the wheel of an SUV on Thursday morning after it crashed into a tree outside a Harvard Street home. The 41-year-old man, who had been shot multiple times in the head and body, was pronounced dead at a Boston hospital hours later.
Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz says authorities do not believe the shooting was random.
Gray did not live at the address.
There was no immediate word on arrests.
It was the city’s fourth homicide of the year.
