Brockton: Officials release wanted poster of murder suspect

Authorities have released a photo of an Abington man wanted for the murder of a 41-year-old Brockton man last week

Investigators warn that 22-year-old Delaneau Pierre of 112 Stewart Street in Abington may be armed and they are urging anyone who comes in contact with him to contact police immediately.

Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz released a wanted poster for Pierre on Wednesday afternoon, which describes Pierre as 5’1″ and 170lbs.

The poster states, “Delaneau Pierre is wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred June 2, 2011 at approximately 10:40 a.m. on Harvard Street in Brockton, Massachusetts. PIERRE is charged with MGL 265 1 Murder, and MGL 269 10h Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.”

Pierre  is wanted for the brazen daytime shooting of John Anthony Gray, who was found June 2nd at around 10:40 a.m. in the driveway at 33 Harvard Street suffering from gunshot wounds to the head, body and left groin.

Gray was taken to a local hospital and then transferred to a Boston area hospital where he was pronounced dead later that afternoon.
