The New Jersey Nets acquired Providence guard Marshon Brooks in a trade with Boston, after the Celtics selected the nation’s Number 2 scorer with the Number 25 pick of the first round of the NBA draft yesterday. The Nets selected JaJuan Johnson of Purdue with their first pick, and then traded the 6-foot-10 center to Boston, along with a future second-round pick, for the rights to Brooks.
