Golf: McIlroy wins 111th U.S. Open

Rory McIlroy has won the U.S. Open title. He shot 2-under 69 yesterday to close the four days at Congressional 16-under 268. That shatters a U.S. Open scoring record held by four players, including Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. Meantime, Fairfield, Connecticut native J.J. Henry shot a four-round total of 291 to finish seven-over par.
