Pembroke: Residential curbside recycling will start in July

Pembroke Town Administrator Ed Thorne announced that one new recycling bin will be delivered to each Pembroke residential address between July 6th and July 15th by the town’s trash contractor. The town will then add curbside recycling to curbside trash pick-up.

Thorne made the announcement during the Selectman’s meeting Monday night. The new recycling plan is expected to save the town’s trash budget at least 15 percent.

Beginning July 23rd, residents will access the recycling center via a detour behind the high school because the landfill capping project shares the same space. A week later, the recycling center will open on Saturdays and Sundays.
