Senator Brown started focusing on the 2012 Senate election on Sunday afternoon in Plymouth.
State Represenative Vinny Demacedo held a fundraising event in support of Senator Scott Brown and his campaign. With the election quickly approaching, Senator Brown said he’s starting to focus on the issues.
“Deficit, taxes, spending, jobs, national security: that’s all we should be talking about,” said Brown.
Senator Brown, a self-proclaimed independent thinker, said he is hoping that fellow politicians will work together, instead of against each other, these upcoming months.
“I’m challenging others to step outside their comfort zone and forget about the letter after their names and start working for the American people,” said Brown.
Brown also discussed the recent tornado devastation; Brown toured Western MASS and visited residents in need of immediate aid. On Sunday, he spoke proudly about the community support he witnessed just days before.
“It’s just what makes Massachusetts so special–the people are really banning together and helping their neighbor. It was really, I have to tell you, it was really, really nice to participate and be part of that,” said Brown.
