Abington: Fire damages Monroe Street home

Officials were called to fire in a 2 1/2-story building in Abington on Monday afternoon.

The fire at 85 Monroe Street brought mutual aid from Whitman,  Rockland, and Weymouth. The fire was knocked down quickly and contained to the third floor, but not before it spread through the walls of the building.

The wiring inspector was called to the scene.
