A Jamaica Plain man suffered severe injuries in Abington Thursday, after reportedly falling from a roof or ladder, and being impaled on an object below.
Abington Fire Chief John Nuttall says they got a 911 call at about 11:20 a.m. Thursday from 122 Patricia Drive.
“The patient, a 47-male from Jamiaca Plain was air-lifted to Boston Medical Center with severe injuries, possibly from the fall. The incident scene is under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, as this appears to be a work-related injury,” said Chief Nuttall.
Officials have not confirmed this, but police scanner reports indicated that the man fell approximately 20 feet off a ladder and was impaled on an object below. The man’s name has not been released.
