Cohasset: Police investigate rash of car-breaks

For the second time in a week, Cohasset Police are investigating a number of car break-ins. The latest incidents happened early Monday morning.

At about 2 a.m., a resident of Fern Way called the police reporting that her vehicle had been broken into. Officers responding were unable to locate the suspect.

However, while they were investigating that break-in, they found out that more than a dozen cars had been broken into with hundreds of dollars worth of electronics taken – including cell phones and GPS units.

The breaks happened on Fern Way, Red Gate Lane, Bow Street, and Nichols Road. In each case, the vehicles had been left unlocked.

Last week, seven cars on Sanctuary Pond Road and Fair Oaks Lane were broken into. Those vehicles were all unlocked as well.
