Marshfield: Body recovered off Brant Rock may be missing boater

State Police say a body pulled from the waters off Brant Rock may be that of a young boater missing since July 16th.

A recreational diver found the remains at the bottom of the water around 6:00 p.m. Saturday.

They have not yet been identified, but they may be those of 23-year-old Zac Woods.

He and his friend, 22-year-old Justin McDonald were on the water the night of July 16th when they were pitched over-board. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

McDonald was rescued by a kayaker, and a massive air and sea search had been going on for Woods.

McDonald has pleaded not guilty to charges he was drunk while operating the boat, and is free on bail.

The investigation into the victim’s death is being handled by the Plymouth County D.A.’s office.
