Marshfield: Suspects in armed home invasion indicted

31-year-old Steven Johnson (left) and 30-year-old Peter John, have been indicted on charges in connection with a June 23rd armed home invasion in Marshfield.

Two men who are accused of breaking in to a Marshfield home last month, one brandishing a sawed off shotgun, have been indicted.

Assistant District Attorney Russ Eonas, at their arraignment last month, said 31-year-old Steven Johnson of Weymouth admitted, post miranda, that he and 30-year-old Peter John of Randolph, committed the crime. The two men were indicted last week on five criminal counts.

The men allegedly broke into a home on Flaggler Drive on June 23rd, and assaulted a man and threatened him with a shotgun. They were caught after police chased them for five miles from Scituate to Cohasset.

Authorities in court said there were two small children in the home at the time.

Johnson and John will be arraigned in Plymouth County Superior Court on a date yet to be determined.  John and Johnson are being held without bail.
