Quincy: Illegal grill sparks massive apartment blaze

Some Quincy residents are looking for a new place to live after a fire tore through their apartment building.

It broke out around 9:30 p.m. Saturday night at the Faxon Park complex on Falls Blvd.

Authorities say the blaze was started by a resident who was illegally using a ‘grill’ on her patio.

Crews were on the scene well into the night, dousing hot-spots.

No residents were hurt, but a Quincy firefighter was reportedly taken to a hospital after falling down a rocky cliff.

Fire officials say the building was so‘heavily damaged, it will be torn down.
