Carver: Pair arrested for stealing copper piping

A Plympton man and a Duxbury woman are charged with breaking and entering in the daytime, larceny under $250, malicious damage to property over $250 and conspiracy.

They are identified as 28-year-old Billy Toohey and 30-year-old Heidi Blaisdell.

Carver Police initially received a report of a break-in at 22 Plymouth Street on Tuesday around 1 pm..

When officers arrived at the home, they were told that a Ford Ranger had left the scene with some copper piping in the bed of the truck.

The owner of the Plymouth Street property said that damage was done to the house and that copper piping was missing.

Following the discovery, police in a number of surrounding towns were notified.

The truck was spotted near a metal recycling facility in Hanson and the two occupants were arrested a short time later by Halifax and Plympton Police who stopped the vehicle in East Bridgewater.

The pair are being arraigned in Wareham District Court
