Kingston: Selectmen hear complaints about slow utility restoration

Tuesday night Kingston selectmen heard the chorus of complaints selectmen of other towns have heard regarding the delay in restoration of electrical service from NStar.

John Creed of the Town and Country Mobile Home Park Association told them the utility predicted restoration of service next Sunday. He said people had lost valuable food.

Selectman Sandra MacFarlane sympathized. Ronald Gleason, an electrical contractor with hands-on experience, said the utility has put safety first and will proceed as quickly as possible to restore service in a complicated set of circumstances.
