Senator Scott Brown says his new office in Plymouth will allow him to be more available to his constituents— and that’s what drove his decision to locate his third regional office here.

WATD’s Bobbi Clark caught up with Sen. Brown this week.

Brown: “People shouldn’t have to drive into Boston to come and meet with me and my staff so we felt we’d bring the office here.”

Bobbi Clark: This seems contrary to what some critics say—that you often avoid direct contact with the public.

Brown: “I’ll put my record of meeting and greeting and learning about people’s issues and everyday life problems against anybody.”

Bobbi Clark:What’s your reaction to former Special Advisor to the President Elizabeth Warren as a possible opponent?

“I’m going to have an opponent and when that person makes it through the primary, I’ll be ready to talk about the issues and my hope is that they’ll talk about the issues and not continue with the gotcha and the mud slinging, you know, like they did last time.”

Bobbi Clark:Texas Governor Rick Perry just thru his hat into the Presidential ring –how do you feel about the current field of Republican Presidential Candidates?

Brown: “I’m going to be supporting Governor Romney. I know him. I think he’s one of the nicest, honest, hard working men I’ve ever met. Certainly, Governor Perry is a solid candidate. I’ve only met him once, briefly.”

Bobbi Clark: Senator Brown’s downtown Plymouth office is at 18 Main Street.
