Scituate: Beach lifeguards make their way back to academia

Scituate’s beaches will remain open, but lifeguards have already left or are on their way out.

That’s because they’re high school or college students who are returning to class.

Sunday marked the last day of lifeguard coverage at Sandhills Beach.

Lifeguard coverage at the Gannett end of Minot Beach ends Monday.

For the Well Rock section, it’s August 22^nd; for Egypt, it’s the 25^th.

Lifeguards will no longer be at Humarock starting August 28^th and Peggotty on September 5^th.
