Cohasset Police say a South Boston man was injured during a rush hour crash on Rte. 3A on Wednesday afternoon.
When officers arrived they say they discovered a 2001 Ford Explorer on its side with 37-year-old Daniel Price from South Boston trapped inside. Officers immediately entered the vehicle through a window and rendered first aid until members of the Cohasset Fire Department arrived.
Cohasset Fire Fighters used the jaws-of-life to extricate him and Price was transported to South Shore Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
According to police, preliminary reports show Price was driveing a Ford Explorer north on Rte. 3A when he crossed over the fog line and hit three parked cars that were for sale in the parking lot of a used car dealership. The Ford Explorer was totaled, along with a 2004 Ford Mustang that was for sale. Two other parked vehicles, a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser and a 2009 Subaru Legacy, which were also for sale, were damaged.
No citations have been issued yet but Lieutenant Quigley of the Cohasset Police Department indicated that charges are likely.
