This could be the week in which the Massachusetts Senate finally wraps up work on a casino gambling bill. Debate is scheduled to resume Tuesday with a number of proposed amendments still to be considered.

Opponents of casino gambling have apparently used up all available parliamentary motions aimed at slowing down the Senate bill, and the result could be a final vote by the end of the week.
The House earlier passed its version of the bill that would expand legalizing gaming in Massachusetts by allowing three resort-style casinos and one slots parlor to be built.
While legislative leaders and Gov. Deval Patrick have agreed on the major points of the bill, differences would still have to be worked out between the House and Senate versions.
