The accused killer of a young Marshfield mother is due back in court Monday.
Prosecutors say 41-year-old Marcelo Almeida, a suspected illegal immigrant, stabbed his longtime girlfriend, 24-year-old Patricia Frois, last month at the Village of Marshfield apartment complex where she lived.
Almeida, who was hospitalized after his arrest for self-inflicted stab wounds, will appear at a dangerousness hearing.
Frois’ murder has led to a growing call for Massachusetts to adopt the federal Secure Communities program, something Governor Patrick has resisted doing.
