Marshfield: Residents to decide fate of airport runway article at special town meeting

Monday night, Marshfield residents at Special Town Meeting will decide whether to allow $200,000 to go toward funding runway improvements at the town’s airport, with the bulk of the tab to be paid by the FAA.

The Special Town Meeting is slated to begin at 7 the Marshfield High School gym.

Another meeting scheduled for November 17th will decide whether or not to fund a new high school.

If the go-ahead is given, a special election will be held to decide if taxes should be raised by exempting the project from Proposition 2 1/2 requirements.
