Norwell: Three suspects arrested in rash of home breaks

Three suspects have been arrested in connection with a number of house breaks in the Mt. Blue Street area of Norwell.

Norwell Police Chief Ted Ross says the ” m-o” was similar in many of the breaks.

” They would usually go approach the house,  see if anyone was home, then find easy access to the house not visible from the street,” said Ross.

And he says they went for similar items in the cases.

“Anything they can rid of immediately - cash, electronics and jewelry,” said Ross.

Officers pulled the suspects over on Prospect St. Thursday afternooon, after a black Toyota was spotted pulling into a Mt. Blue St. driveway and leaving several minutes later. A quick check of the residence revealed it had been broken into.

In the Toyota were two flat screen televisions and Nintendo Wii.

Placed under arrest were three Scituate residents: 27-year-old Odair Tavares, 21-year-old Jordan Brady, and 19-year-old Samuel Bell.

All three are facing charges of breaking and entering in the daytime and larceny over 250 dollars.

During a search, detectives also found heroin in Odair’s pocket.

Chief Ross says the investigation is ongoing with Marshfield and Scituate police and there may be more arrests.
