Pembroke: Kohl’s opens at 1AM for Black Friday

With Friday traditionally the busiest shopping day of the year, some South Shore residents went straight from the dinner table to the store.  More than thirty people waited in line for the Pembroke Kohl’s department store to open at 1AM. In order to be the first in line, Diane from Abington got to the store three hours early.

What item brought her out to stand in the cold? “Anything. Nothing specific,” she said

However, Kalyn from Whitman waited in line at Kohl’s for one of the store’s hot ticket items of the year, a hair iron. Andrea from Duxbury is a veteran Black Friday shopper and waited at Kohl’s for the early bird special on clothing, “We did the 3AM last year so this is actually not as bad. Line’s a little longer but we should be okay.”

In honor of Black Friday, this was the earliest Kohl’s has opened.
