Plymouth: Panel will be held to address concerns on courthouse project

The Plymouth Redevelopment Authority and the 1820 Courthouse Consortium will host a panel discussion on Wednesday night.

The PRA and its advisory group, the 1820 Courthouse Consortium will look for support at the meeting—support Selectmen did not give the group when the Board eliminated their articles from the recent town meeting warrant. Those articles requested thousands of dollars for expenses and continued planning for the 1820 courthouse corridor project.

Laura Schaefer, Executive Director of the PRA, explains the purpose of the meeting:

“It’s going to start with a panel discussion but the big focus is going to be on the question and answer section. We’re asking the public to attend and bring their toughest questions with them.”

So the meeting is to address some of the concerns raised by the public?

“Yes, there are a lot of misconceptions out there and we hope that people will bring those questions forward and we can work on those.”

The meeting begins Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Arts Center on North Street.
