Scituate: 25 year-old man charged with kidnapping

Scituate Police say they will ask for arrest warrants in Quincy District Court for a Scituate man who, during an altercation early Monday morning, allegedly shot someone with a BB gun and then later held a knife to his girlfriend’s throat.

Police say that after the shooting, 25 year-old Christopher Merrill asked his girlfriend to drive him to Quincy.

When she drove into the parking lot of Quincy Medical Center around 2:30 a.m., Merrill attempted to take her pocketbook and cellphone, while he threatened her with the knife.

Police dogs were called out to search for Merrill who, police say, fled the scene.

Police say Merrill will be charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and kidnapping.

About David Skill

Dave Skill’s radio career began in the fall of 1964 when he arrived on the campus of Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA. Dave barely got his bags unpacked when he paid a visit to WCHC, the campus radio station. And, before he knew it, he was spending so much time as a disc jockey and news writer/reporter, it seemed like he was majoring in “radio” and minoring in academics at “The Cross”. As you might imagine, his grades reflected it! During his junior and senior years, he also worked weekends in news and as a disc jockey at WNEB, the CBS radio affiliate in Worcester at the time.
