Framingham: College student from Bridgewater dies in weekend car crash

A South Shore community is reeling, as authorities investigate the tragic death of a college student.

20-year-old Ashley Donahue of Bridgewater died early Saturday in a car crash in Framingham.

Donahue, who attended Framingham State University, was in a car with four other female students when it went out of control and crashed on Badger Rd. around 2:20 a.m. Saturday.

The young woman was thrown from the back seat and pronouced dead at the scene.

Three other occupants are also hospitalized, including one who was flown to Boston.

Neither their identities nor their conditions have been released.

Donahue was a 2009 graduate of Bridgewater-Raynham High School.

Framingham State has issued a statement saying the school community is devastated by the loss and that counseling services are being made available.
