Hingham: Police search for brazen bank robber

Hingham police are asking for the public’s help as they search for a bank robber.

Police say surveillance video shows a man with a handgun tucked into his waistband robbing Hingham Institute for Savings on Whiting St. around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

He’s described as a man in his 60s, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, sneakers and a black wool hat.
