Norwood: Randolph man injured in multi-vehicle crash on I-95

State police shut down all three lanes of Interstate 95 northbound in Norwood just before noon Thursday to allow a medical helicopter to aid two people injured in a crash between two cars and a tour bus.

Police say a preliminary investigation suggests a SUV operated by a 68-year-old Randolph man struck the rear of another car, That car then struck the rear of the Brush Hill tour bus, driven by 49-year-old Noel Sancho of Quincy.

The Randolph man was taken by ambulance to Norwood Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the second vehicle, who has not been identified, was taken by med-flight to Beth Israel Hospital with serious injuries.

The crash occurred near the Neponset Street exit. The scene was cleared at about 1:42 p.m.
