Weymouth: Five men arrested on heroin charges

Weymouth police have arrested five young men on drug charges.

Among them, a local man, Joshua Desmond, who’s accused of selling heroin.

Officers arrested him after getting an anonymous tip.

Also charged are Matthew Earner and David Barron, both of Hull, as well as Michael Browne of Quincy and Joshua Brown of Everett.

Weymouth police say they saw Desmond meet with Barron and Earner in a convenience store parking lot on Washington St. to make a drug deal, then did the same thing with the other two men in another parking lot.

Authorities say Desmond, who’s also charged with shoplifting at a local pharmacy, had drug paraphanalia and $600 in cash.
