Carver: Motor vehicle crash sends one to hospital

Carver police responded to a 911 call early Friday morning–about 2:30 a.m.– for a motor vehicle accident reported at the intersection of High and Gate streets.

When crews arrived on scene they found a 1982 Ford F-150 that had crashed against a large tree, with lots of blood on the scene, but no driver.

Two canines from the State Police and Sheriff were called in to search for the operator, since they were concerned the person may have been seriously injuried, and then wandered off into the bogs or woods.

Before the search started, 28-year-old Daniel Labossiere of Maine,  formerly of Carver, came back to the scene with his wife.

Labossiere had been visiting relatives nearby and had gone to seek help. He was then taken to South Shore Hospital. His condition is not known.
