Duxbury: Authorities investigate cause of head-on collision

Duxbury authorities are investigating the cause of a bad accident that sent two people to the hospital.

The two-car, head-on collision happened on Rte. 53 near Bongi’s Turkey Farm shortly before 9 p.m. on Saturday.

25-year-old Arron Bennett of Pembroke was driving a car which collided head-on with another car driven by 28-year-old Kimberly Kelly, also of Pembroke.

Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to free Bennett from the vehicle.

He was flown to a Boston hospital in serious condition.

Kelly was taken to South Shore Hospital with less serious injuries.

It appears Bennett’s car crossed the center line and struck the other vehicle.

So far, no charges have been filed.
