Harbor master, recreation, inspectional services, and board of health have requested to increase their fees. In preparation for the March annual town meeting, the Duxbury Fiscal Advisory Board divided up these four department requests Thursday night to review if an increase is just.
Board member Bill O’Toole explained the multiple fee modifications for 2013 came as no surprise, “It’s been at least two years of very, very few increases so some of these I know are probably four years, I can think of with like the beach stickers I think were four years ago.”
The Duxbury advisory board commented that pool fees may increase as part of recreation’s request. A recommendation to selectmen will be submitted by the end of the month.
