E. Bridgewater: Police think store robberies may be related

East Bridgwater police are keeping closer tabs on a convenience store…after it’s robbed for the second time in as many weeks.

The Cumberland Farms on Washington St. was held up again Friday night.

Police say the suspect took off with less than $80 and it’s unclear if he had a weapon.

He’s described as a white male, approximately 6’ tall and 170 lbs, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue baseball cap.

The robbery happened around 10:00p.m., about the same time of the previous one on January 9th when a man walked in, showed a weapon to a different clerk, and demanded cash.

Security video shows it’s not the same robber, but police believe the two might be friends who think they’ve found an easy target, so officers will be keeping a close eye on the convenience store.

Anyone with information on either case is asked to call East Bridgewater Police at (508) 378-7223.
