Plymouth: Whitman woman arrested for attempting to rob pharmacy

A 27-year-old Whitman woman has been arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery after she allegedly attepted to hold up a Walgreens pharmacy in Plymouth at around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Melissa Milligan, of Windsor Drive, Whitman, reportedly went into the pharmacy on Samoset Street and  indicated she had a gun. As she approached the cashier a store employee recognized Milligan’s picture from a store flyer. The employee contacted police, and Milligan fled out the door into the woods behind a Rockland trust.

Police were able to pick her up quickly.

Milligan’s description matches ones for similar hold-ups at Walgreens stores in Quincy and in Whitman.
