South Shore: Repeat D.U.I. offender may be permanently in ‘Park’

A Duxbury man may soon be off the road for good following another D.U.I. arrest.

Mark Dirsa, who has seven convictions dating back to the early 1980s, rang in the New Year behind bars, where he was ordered held without bail after being taken into custody by Kingston police last week.

Authorities say Dirsa was high on drugs when he apparently caused a two-car crash on an exit ramp on Route 3 South and fled the scene.

He later caught by state police, and is due in Plymouth District Court on Tuesday for a dangerousness hearing.

If convicted on this new charge, Dirsa faces a lifetime suspension of his driver’s license.
