A Weymouth firefighter was hospitalized Friday after two-alarm blaze.
Weymouth Fire Capt. Steven Murray says they got the call just before noon for a kitchen fire at 11 Randall Ave.
“The fire extended into in kitchen walls and up into the attic. We struck a second alarm, and that gets resources from other towns: Quincy Braintree, Randolph, Hingham, etc.,” said Capt. Murray.
The fire was knocked down in about two hours– a preliminary damage assessment was not immediately available.
The Weymouth firefighter was taken to the hospital with with what was described as a serious medical condition.
