On Monday the Hingham Planning Board will be hearing from engineers and architects putting together plans for the town’s new middle school.
They’re hoping to have the permitting process done by the end of March so the contract can be put out to bid in April, with construction starting in June.
The estimated cost is $60 million, about half of which would be reimbursed by the state.
The cost also includes demolishing the current middle school, which will be used by students until the new school, to be built adjacent to it, opens in the fall of 2014.
The Hingham Planning Board meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Monday.
