Marshfield: Young man killed in fiery car crash

Marshfield authorities are investigating a weekend tragedy that killed a young man.

Police say they got a 911 call at approximately 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

A car heading west on Highland St. went off the road, hitting a tree and catching fire.

The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nearby residents reported hearing a crash near a pond on Highland St. but didn’t realize what happened.

People were also seen putting flowers at the crash site.
